A 9-year-old girl riding in the Chevrolet was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Houston, TX. – A man standing beside his disabled car died after being struck by a passing vehicle on Saturday night in Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Gulf Freeway near El Dorado Boulevard.
The man had gotten out of his disabled Dodge Durango after crashing into a wall and was hit by a southbound Chevrolet.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
