Houston, TX – Five people were injured Friday evening after a robbery suspect crashed into a METRO bus in Houston, according to the deputies.
The accident occurred around 4:54 p.m. on August 29 at the intersection of Yale and North Loop East.
Deputies said authorities were pursuing a robbery suspect’s vehicle when it struck another vehicle, which then struck the right rear side of METRO Bus #1992, which was carrying 10 passengers at the time of the accident.
Four juveniles and one adult were taken to the hospital for treatment. The bus driver and one passenger sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, who was driving with a flat tire, left their vehicle and fled on foot before being apprehended by the authorities.
Additional information regarding the accident was not available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
