DPS troopers were pursuing a suspect when the suspect crashed into two rideshare vehicles

Montrose, TX. – Eight people were hospitalized after being injured in a car accident early Sunday morning in Montrose.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 1:40 a.m. at Waugh Drive and West Gray Street.
DPS troopers were pursuing a suspect when the suspect crashed into two rideshare vehicles.
The suspect and at least seven other people were injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the pursuit.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
