Kendalia, Texas – A woman was killed on Saturday in a head-on collision in Kendalia, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly crash occurred around 10:10 p.m., June 8, in the 2600 block of FM 473.

DPS said Blake David Wampler, 27, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when he collided head-on with a Toyota Prius, driven by Kimberly Fawn Brasher, 55, of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Brasher was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wampler was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. While conducting inventory on the Silverado, a handgun was found in the vehicle, leading to an additional charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon. He

Wampler was being held at the Kendall County Detention Center on a $155,000 bond.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
