West Harris County, TX – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle in Harris County on Friday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported on Highway 6 near Bellaire Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. January 17.

The HCSO reported that a 70-year-old woman was driving northbound on Highway 6 when she struck a man who was trying to cross the highway.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The victim was only identified as a man in his 50s or 60s.

The driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected of speeding or DUI.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
