Harris County, TX – A woman was killed in a wrong-way traffic collision in Huffman on Monday night, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. on Monday, January 20 at the intersection of Afton Way and FM-2100.
Deputies said an 18-wheeler and a vehicle were involved in the collision.
According to investigators, a female driver of the vehicle veered into the oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the 18-wheeler. The woman sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities believe impairment was a factor in the deadly collision.
The driver of the semi-truck was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
