Both drivers and a passenger in the 4Runner were hospitalized with serious injuries

Blanco County, TX. – Three people, including a 4-year-old, were killed in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Johnson City in Blanco County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the accident happened on Ranch Road 1323 at U.S. 281 at around noon.
A Chevrolet Trax traveling on FM 1323 attempted to turn left onto US 281 when it collided with a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling southbound on U.S. 281.
The impact caused the Tacoma to spin into the northbound lane, where it was hit by a Toyota 4Runner traveling northbound on U.S. 281.
27-year-old Annett Morales and 4-year-old Carlos Morales IV were passengers in the Tacoma and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 4-Runner, 71-year-old Larry Higgins, also died in the collision.
The drivers of the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Trax, as well as a passenger in the 4Runner, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
