One Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Austin Highway
San Antonio, Texas (January 25, 2019) – A man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night on a San Antonio highway, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash was reported on Tuesday, January 22, on Austin Highway.
According to a preliminary investigation, a man in a wheelchair was trying to cross the highway when he stopped halfway to let the southbound vehicles to pass him. As he was waiting, a northbound vehicle struck him.
Police said the man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.
Officials said alcohol was an unlikely factor in the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
