Laredo, TX. – A police officer was injured in a collision with another car on Wednesday in downtown Laredo.

According to the police, the accident happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Matamoros Street and San Dario Avenue.

The officer’s patrol unit reportedly collided with a silver car at the intersection in unclear circumstances.

The officer and the driver of the second car were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.
