Lubbock, TX – One person was killed Monday morning in a car accident in Central Lubbock, according to the police.
The deadly accident was reported around 7:45 a.m. on October 6 near 25th Street and Indiana Avenue.
Police said a 16-year-old was driving a pickup truck southbound while Daniel Spray, 57, was driving northbound on Avenue and was turning left onto 24th Street. The vehicles collided in the roadway.
The force of the impact caused the pickup to hit a utility pole and a residence.
Spray died at the scene.
The 16-year-old and a 13-year-old passenger were taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.
