Houston, TX – A man has been charged in connection with the DWI accident that left three people dead early Sunday morning in southwest Houston, according to the police.

The fatal collision happened around 1:20 a.m. on November 2 in the 12300 block of Almeda at the intersection of West Orem.

Police said Tony Jerome Oliver, 29, was driving a gray Chrysler 300 when he ran a red light and struck a white Buick Enclave, pushing it into three other vehicles that were stopped at the light.

The driver and passenger of the Buick were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old man. Their names have not been released.

The 21-year-old female passenger of the Buick was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

Oliver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter – death of multiple people.

The police are investigating the accident.

Houston, TX – Three people were killed early Sunday morning in a DWI accident in southwest Houston, according to the police.

The fatal collision was reported just after 1:00 a.m. on November 2 at the intersection of Almeda and West Orem.

Police said a vehicle ran a red light and struck another vehicle, pushing it into three other vehicles that were stopped at the light, waiting to travel northbound on Almeda.

Two people, both males, were pronounced dead at the scene. A female was ejected from the car and was taken to the hospital where she later died. All three victims were in the same car. Their identities have not been released.

The driver who ran the red light was critically injured in the collision. He was charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The accident temporarily closed the intersection, but it has since been reopened.

The police are investigating the accident.
