The fatal collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on December 10 on U.S. Highway 87 South.

San Angelo, TX – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday night in a wrong-way collision in San Angelo, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on December 10 on U.S. Highway 87 South.
DPS said a pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lane when it crashed head-on into an SUV.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
The other driver, a female, was airlifted to the hospital with injuries to her right leg.
The accident closed the southbound lanes of US 87 near Loop 570.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
