Pharr, TX. – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car on Friday morning in Pharr.
According to the Pharr Police Department, the accident happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Dicker Road and St. Marie Drive.
A 95-year-old driver told the police he was traveling down the road when he was reportedly blinded by the sun due to a vehicle that was improperly parked and facing the wrong side of the road.
The vehicle crashed into a 54-year-old man who was getting items from the trunk of the stationary car.
The 54-year-old man was critically injured and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
