San Antonio, TX – One person was injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio’s North Side, according to the San Antonio police.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on September 28 at the intersection of Vance Jackson and De Zavala Road.
Police said a stolen yellow Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on De Zavala when it ran a red light and struck a gray 2021 Toyota that was traveling southbound at the intersection.
The driver of the stolen truck and two passengers fled the scene after the accident. Officers searched for them, and the two passengers were arrested and taken into custody. The driver, however, was not found.
A passenger in the Toyota was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two suspects were arrested and booked on charges of evading arrest and possession of a criminal instrument. Once found, the suspect driver will face charges of failure to stop and render aid, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and evading arrest.
The SAPD is investigating the accident.
