The incident, involving three vehicles, happened at about 12:55 p.m. in the 19200 block of SE HK Dodgen Loop.
Temple, TX – One person is dead and three others injured following a multi-vehicle traffic collision on SE HK Dodgen Loop in Temple Saturday afternoon, according to Temple Police.
The incident, involving three vehicles, happened at about 12:55 p.m. in the 19200 block of SE HK Dodgen Loop.
Investigators say a vehicle was merging onto the SE Loop and entered oncoming traffic, hitting a vehicle. As a result, the second vehicle was also struck from behind by a third vehicle.
According to the police, one person sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the person did not survive their injuries and was pronounced dead later at the hospital. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
Two people in the second vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A person in the third vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The roadway remained closed for several hours until around 5:50 p.m. when it re-opened.
