Parker County, TX – One person was killed and two other were injured when two vehicles collided on FM 730 in Azle Sunday afternoon, according the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The deadly collison happened at about 3:50 p.m. on December 8 on Farm-to-Market Road 730, north of Clayton Road.

DPS said in a statement that a vehicle was traveling southbound on FM 730 passing in a No-Passing zone, while in curve when it collided head-on with a nortbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle and one of her passengers sustained serious injuries in the collision and were transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist. A second passenger of the nothbound vehicle was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital Forth Worth where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of of the wrong-way vehicle was not injured, DPS said, adding that the driver was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter and two counts of Intoxication Assault.

The incident remains under investigation.
