The deadly wrong-way accident happened in the area of Eastex Freeway near Aldine Bender Road shortly before 3 a.m. November 10.

Houston, TX. – A woman was killed and three people, including two children, were hurt in a traffic collision in Houston Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

The collision happened in the area of Eastex Freeway near Aldine Bender Road shortly before 3 a.m. November 10.

Police said a pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway when it collided with an oncoming SUV.

The woman operating the SUV was killed in the incident. The driver of the truck was hospitalized with a broken leg.

Two children in the pickup truck, aged 6 and 14, were also taken to a hospital and were expected to be okay.

Drunk driving is suspected to have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
