The deadly collision happened at about 6:40 p.m. on January 6 in the 2000 block of E. Pioneer Parkway, just west of Texas 360.
Officers responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian accident and found a pedestrian lying in the roadway.
According to the police, the pedestrian, whose name was not immediately released, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene.
No additional information was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
