Houston, TX – One person was killed in a collision with a big rig in Houston on Saturday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident took place at about 6:05 p.m. January 25, on North McCarty Road and Liberty Road.
According to HPD, a white tractor-trailer truck was heading south on North McCarty Road when it made a left turn onto Liberty Road and was hit in the rear by a red Toyota Camry traveling southbound.
Prior to hitting the trailer of the big rig, the Camry left the roadway and slammed into a construction sign post.
The driver of the Camry, a 69-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Houston Police Department is handling the investigation.
