A passenger in the Ford truck was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Houston, TX. – One person died in a car crash on Friday morning in Houston.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 9:25 a.m. at the 5500 South Loop East.
A white Ford F-450 was traveling west on the South Loop East when it struck the front tire of a white Volvo tractor-trailer while changing lanes.
The tractor-trailer lost control, dragging the Ford truck to the right lanes, where the two vehicles struck the retaining wall and a light pole.
A passenger in the Ford truck was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford truck stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
No one else was injured in the fatal crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
