Houston, TX – A person was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 12:55 a.m. on November 9 in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass.

Police said a 15-year-old male was driving a red GMC Sierra pickup truck southbound when the side mirror of the truck hit the arm of a female pedestrian on the roadway.

The truck did not stop and continued traveling at a high rate of speed, where it struck a male pedestrian on the roadway.

The GMC fled the scene after the accident.

The male pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The truck was later located, and the driver was arrested. The driver was referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on failure to stop and render aid causing death, and failure to stop and render aid causing bodily injury charges.

The police are investigating the accident.
