The backhoe continued into a ditch, where the driver abandoned it and fled

Houston, TX. – A motorcyclist died after crashing into a backhoe on Sunday morning in Houston.
According to local police, the accident happened around 1:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of SH 249, near Greens Road.
Police say the motorcyclist crashed into the back of a backhoe that they believe was stolen from a construction site.
The motorcyclist was killed in the accident.
The backhoe continued into a ditch, where the driver abandoned it and fled.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
