The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment

Houston, TX. – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a tow truck at an intersection in northwest Harris County on Wednesday afternoon.
The 1:10 p.m. pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Jones Road and Woodedge Drive, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
A 24-year-old woman was crossing the intersection and was hit by a tow truck driven by a 44-year-old man.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the HCSO traffic investigators.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
