San Antonio, TX – A 1-year-old baby who was critically injured when a vehicle crashed into another at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool in San Antonio has died, according to Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

Mkaya Amran and several other children were injured when a parent’s car accelerated into another car in the school’s parking lot and both vehicles crashed into a play area.

Mkaya and four other children were hospitalized following the incident. The other four kids were later discharged but Mkaya remained hospitalized to receive treatment for about two weeks.

San Antonio, TX – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has identified the young teacher who died when a vehicle crashed into another at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool in San Antonio as 22-year-old Alexia Rosales.

The accident happened when a parent’s car accelerated into another car in the school’s parking lot and both vehicles crashed into a play area where it struck the Rosales, an employee, and five 1-year-old kids.

Roseles got pinned under the vehicles and died. The 23-year-old employee and the five children were hospitalized.

San Antonio, TX.- A teacher was killed and several children were injured in an incident where a vehicle crashed into them at the ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool in San Antonio on Thursday afternoon, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The wreck took place at the school located along Interstate 10 West Frontage Road shortly before 4 p.m. December 19.

According to the report, a driver experienced a medical condition and accelerated, crashing into a second car.

Both cars then slammed through a fence and hit a teacher, in her 20’s, and children playing in the field.

The teacher who was struck was pinned by one of the cars.

Authorities said the teacher was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second teacher and five children were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Another adult and two children were treated at the scene and released.

Authorities said a parent had loaded her children into her vehicle when, for some reason – believed to be a medical episode, she accelerated and crashed into another car. Both vehicles crashed through a fence into a playground when the teacher and the children were. The parent is said to have a past medical history, which may have been a factor in the incident.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
