Odessa, TX – A 15-year-old was killed in a collision between two vehicles at an intersection in Odessa on Thursday morning, according to a report by the Odessa Police Department.
The wreck took place at around 2:05 a.m. November 28, on 42nd Street and Northwest County Road.
The OPD said the 15-year-old was driving a 2011 Kia Sorrento northbound on Northwest County Road when he collided with a 2018 Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on 42nd Street.
The driver of the Kia was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His passenger, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 19-year-old Jonah Huirton, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Police said the Kia driven by the 15-year-old had been reported stolen. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
