2 Injured in Crash on IH 35 in San Antonio

Good Samaritan, Stranded Driver Injured in San Antonio Crash on Interstate 35

San Antonio, Texas – Two people were injured Saturday evening in a crash in San Antonio’s Northeast side, according to the police.

The crash happened around 8:00 p.m., January 20, near the 2900 block of IH 35 North.

Police said a 55-year-old woman was standing in front of her Jeep helping a stranded driver. She had parked her car in lane three and partially on the right shoulder to help the driver with some jumper cables.

Suddenly, a Nissan Frontier pickup truck came traveling down the highway and rear-ended the Jeep, which then hit the woman and the stranded driver.

The woman hit the pavement and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

The stranded driver was redirected to the guardrail and was also taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
