Dayton, TX. – Two pedestrians were injured after being struck by a car in Dayton on Wednesday night.
According to the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department, the accident happened on US-90 near SH-99.
A vehicle was reportedly struck by a truck on US-90, pushing it into two Buddhist monks.
The monks were part of a group walking across the country as part of a walk for peace.
One man was flown by helicopter with serious injuries to his lower body.
The second monk had minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
More details about the accident were not released.
