McKinney, TX – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon after a traffic collision left a wrecker dangling off an overpass in McKinney, according to the authorities.
The collision happened on October 22 on the Sam Rayburn Tollway near Central Expressway.
Authorities said a wrecker, which was towing two vehicles, was attempting to avoid hitting a disabled vehicle, when it lost control, hit the disabled vehicle and hit the bridge’s concrete wall. The cab of the truck crashed through the concrete wall and it came to a stop dangling off the overpass.
The driver of the wrecker sustained minor injuries in the accident and was treated.
The driver of the stalled vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed the southbound lanes of Sam Rayburn Tollway and three northbound lanes.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
