A 3-year-old boy in the car was taken to the hospital for treatment in stable condition

Fort Bend County, TX. – Three family members were killed in a car crash early Saturday morning in Fort Bend County.
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on SH-99 near FM 1464 at around 2 a.m.
A white GMC carrying a family of four was traveling northbound on the Grand Parkway when it collided with an Audi traveling south in the northbound lanes.
A woman and a girl in the GMC died at the scene, while the family’s father died at the hospital.
A 3-year-old boy in the GMC was taken to the hospital for treatment in stable condition.
The 28-year-old female driver was airlifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was later arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter, a first-degree felony, as well as one count of intoxication assault.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
