31-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Car Crash on North Loop East at Irvington Boulevard in Houston

Houston, Texas – A 31-year-old man was killed last Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The fatal crash happened around 10:35 a.m., May 4, in the 700 block of North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) service road at the intersection of Irvington Boulevard.

Police said the man was driving a white GMC Yukon southbound on Irvington Boulevard while a black Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on the freeway service road. The Toyota struck the right side of the GMC at the intersection, causing the GMC to flip over and eject its driver.  

The GMC driver was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The Toyota driver, a 30-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the crash.
