Crockett, Texas – A 43-year-old woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Crockett, according to the Crockett PD.

The fatal crash happened around 3:54 p.m., April 24, at the intersection of Loop 304 and North 6th Street.

Police said a 2005 Jeep SUV was traveling eastbound on Loop 304 while a 2014 Ford pickup was traveling southbound on North 6th Street.

The Ford failed to yield the right of way to the Jeep at the intersection and hit the Jeep on its left side.

The Jeep lost control and rolled over, ejecting both the driver and passenger.

The Jeep’s passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Crockett, was airlifted to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries.

The Ford driver, a woman from Crockett, refused treatment at the scene.

The police are investigating the crash.
