San Antonio, Texas – A 46-year-old woman was seriously injured Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio’s North Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The crash happened around 7:15 p.m., May 3, on Highway 281 North near Loop 1604.

Police said the woman was walking southbound along the sidewalk of an H-E-B parking lot when she was struck by a white pickup truck that was exiting the parking lot to enter onto the northbound access road.

The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident and if found will be charged with the offense of Failure to Stop and Render Aid – SBI.

The police are investigating the crash.
