Temple, TX – The man who was killed early Thursday morning in a two-car accident in Temple has been identified as Manuel Martinez, 20, from Rogers, Texas, according to the police.
The fatal collision happened around 3:36 a.m. on January 8 on Interstate 35.
Police said Martinez was driving northbound on the interstate when he left the roadway, for unknown reasons, struck a concrete barrier, and the car became disabled in the middle of the interstate, where it was struck by a northbound vehicle.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene
Another person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.

Police said a car was traveling northbound when it left the roadway, for unknown reasons, and hit a concrete barrier. It stopped in the middle of the roadway, where it was struck by another northbound vehicle.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Another person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The police are investigating the accident.
