The fatal collision happened around 9:21 p.m. on December 10 on U.S. Highway 87 South.
San Angelo, TX – The woman who was killed Wednesday night in a wrong-way collision that left another person injured, about 7.5 miles east of San Angelo, has been identified as Aleasa Ogle, 51, of Eden, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 9:21 p.m. on December 10 on U.S. Highway 87 South.
DPS said Angelica Diaz, 26, of San Angelo, was driving a 2022 GMC pickup westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway when she crashed head-on into an eastbound 2022 Nissan Rogue driven by Ogle.
Ogle was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Diaz was taken to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident.
The Texas Highway Patrol, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wall Volunteer Fire Department are investigating the accident.

DPS said a pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lane when it crashed head-on into an SUV.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
The other driver, a female, was airlifted to the hospital with injuries to her right leg.
The accident closed the southbound lanes of US 87 near Loop 570.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
