The deadly incident happened at about 8:37 p.m. on October 19 in the 4800 block of North Interstate-27, according to Lubbock Police.

Lubbock, TX – Two people, identified as Bobby Moreno, 38, and Cruz Moreno, 40, after being struck on North Interstate-27 in North Lubbock on Saturday evening.
The deadly incident happened at about 8:37 p.m. on October 19 in the 4800 block of North Interstate-27, according to Lubbock Police.

Police said an initial investigation revealed that Bobby, Cruz, and 20-year-old Brianna Arredondo were traveling south in a vehicle. At some point, police say, Bobby and Cruz got into a verbal altercation. As a result, Cruz and Arredondo got out of the vehicle. The two started walking on the roadway and were then struck by a southbound SUV.
Seeing the incident, Bobby also got out of the vehicle to check on the victims. Bobby and Cruz were then struck by a pickup truck. Bobby and Cruz died in the collision
Arredondo sustained minor injuries in the initial collision and was taken to University Medical Center by a private vehicle.
No additional details were provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
