Munoz was later located and was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the crash

Smith County, TX. – A 35-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision near Winona in Smith County on Wednesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on FM 2015 north of County Road 345 at around 7:35 a.m.
Jeremiah Munoz, 31, of Tyler, reportedly stole a pickup truck at a gas station on Highway 271 and was driving on FM 2015 when he collided with another car.
Brandi Carter, 35, of Tyler, was driving the second car and was killed in the accident.
Munoz was later located and was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and the charge was later upgraded to intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
