The fatal collision happened around 2:44 p.m. on November 1 on US 377 at milepost 432.

Brown County, TX – The teenager who was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Brown County has been identified as Brayden Lynn Baldwin, 18, of Lampasas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal collision happened around 2:44 p.m. on November 1 on US 377 at milepost 432.
DPS said Baldwin was driving a 2017 GMC southbound when he lost control and drove off the right side of the highway. He attempted to steer back onto the roadway, and the truck skidded across the southbound lanes into the path of a 2024 Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer, resulting in a collision.
It was raining, and the road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
The Ford caught on fire, and Baldwin was trapped inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Freightliner, 49-year-old James Chadwick Hardy of Garland, sustained minor injuries in the accident. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
