The accident happened at approximately 12:17 p.m. at the U.S. Highway 59 and F.M. 624 intersection near Live Oak/McMullen County lien.

Corpus Christi, Texas – Two people were killed and one other person was injured Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection near the Live Oak/McMullen County Line.
The accident happened at approximately 12:17 p.m. at the U.S. Highway 59 and F.M. 624 intersection near the Live Oak/McMullen County line.
According to the DPS, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup, towing a 2020 farm trailer loaded with goats, was heading east on Farm to Market 624 when it failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection.
A 2020 Peterbilt tractor-trailer towing a 2019 Mac flatbed trailer hit the Dodge on the passenger side. The tractor-trailer was heading northbound on U.S. Highway 59.
The impact of the crash pushed both vehicles off the roadway to the northeast, hitting a stop sign and crashing through a wire fence.
The Dodge Ram overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side.
Two men from Harper, identified as 43-year-old Brian Tamburello and 24-year-old Mario Morquecho, were killed in the crash.
The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
