Glasscock County, TX – A man was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Glasscock County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened on October 30 on State Highway 137 at the State Highway 158 service road.
DPS said Christopher Paul Gomez-Brooks, 50, of Midland, was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he attempted to make an unsafe left turn onto the service road and was struck by a northbound 2024 Peterbilt semi that was towing a trailer.
Gomez-Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the accident.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
