Morris County, TX. – Three people, including two children, were killed and four other people were injured in a collision that took place in Morris County on Saturday evening, the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened on State Highway 49 at around 7 p.m. on November 2.
The DPS said a GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound on State Highway 49 when it moved into the oncoming lanes and collided with two other vehicles.
Three people riding in the first hit vehicle one of the westbound vehicles were hospitalized.
The second vehicle to be struck had three people. Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene. The third person was transported to a local hospital where he died later that night. The victims were identified as Caylee Murry, CJ Murry, and their father Craig Murry. CJ and Caylee were first graders at Rowena Johnson Primary School.
The driver of the GMC was hospitalized with critical injuries.
An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is ongoing.
