Dallas County, TX – One person is dead following a rear-end traffic collision on Interstate 35 in Dallas County Monday afternoon, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened before 1 p.m. on Interstate 35 at Riverfront Boulevard near downtown Dallas, authorities said.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle slammed into the rear of a truck-tractor.
One person was killed in the collision, as per the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The northbound lanes of I-35 were shut down for about three hours. The roadway was re-opened at about 3 p.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
