Lubbock, TX. – Three people were killed early Friday after their vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler in Lubbock, according to a police report.

The deadly accident happened at about 4:40 a.m. on August 16 on State Highway 349 near mile marker 300.

The victims have been identified as Daniel James Lindsey, 29, Chelsea Sue Clark, 34, and Marcos Campos, 54, all from Lubbock.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Daniel Lindsey, collided with a 2016 Kenworth truck with a trailer.

Lindsey, along with passengers Clark and Campos were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Hedrick.

Police said all victims were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Kenworth truck, a 22-year-old Plainview man was not injured.

Investigations further revealed that the truck had suffered a blowout and was partially on the roadway when its trailer and three reflective triangles set out by the driver were struck by the Tahoe, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The incident remains under investigation.
