Lubbock, TX – Two people were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a collision involving a semi-truck in east Lubbock, according to the police.
The collision took place just before 6:45 a.m. on November 4 in the 7000 block of Southeast Drive near Loop 289.
Police said David Chavera, 64, was driving a semi-truck northwest when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a southeast pickup truck driven by Isabel Torres, 53.
Chavera was taken to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries. Torres was taken to UMC with serious injuries.
No other details were available.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
