Authorities say David Rocha disregarded a stop sign and pulled in front of a semi-truck towing a semi-trailer.

Lubbock, TX – The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly traffic collision that claimed the life of 26-year-old David Ryan Rocha of Lubbock Sunday afternoon.
According to DPS, the deadly incident involving an ATV and a semi-truck occurred at about 6:00 p.m. on September 1 near North FM 400 and East Country Road 5840.
DPS said a preliminary investigation revealed that David Rocha was driving an ATV eastbound on County Road 5840, approaching the Farm to Market 400 intersection.

Rocha disregarded a stop sign and pulled in front of a semi-truck towing a semi-trailer.
Authorities said the driver of the truck tractor tried to avoid hitting the ATV, but both vehicles collided at the intersection.
According to the DPS, Rocha, who was not wearing a helmet, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
