Walpole was pronounced dead at the scene.

La Vernia, TX – The woman who was killed on Tuesday in a three-vehicle collision in La Vernia has been identified as Donna Walpole, 66, of La Vernia, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened just before 10:00 a.m. on October 28 on US 87 near Kelsey Parkway and Blackjack Road.
DPS said Walpole was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Spark when she was hit head-on by a 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was traveling southeast and had entered the northbound lanes.
The 2012 Ford also hit a northbound 2023 Ford F-150 pickup.
Walpole was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 2012 Ford was taken to a San Antonio hospital for treatment.
The driver of the 2023 Ford was treated at the scene and released.
The troopers are investigating the accident.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on U.S. 87 West.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.
