Fort Worth, TX –  One person is dead and another seriously injured following a multi-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck on W Loop 820 in Fort Worth early Thursday morning, according to Fort Worth police.

The deadly accident happened just before 1:30 on West Loop 820 South Freeway and White Settlement Road.

According to the police, a semi-truck collided with multiple other vehicles on the freeway.

The driver of one of the vehicles sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger from the vehicle whose driver died was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

All other people involved in the incident treated and released at the scene.

The deadly incident impacted the northbound lanes of West Loop 820 South Freeway for several hours.

No additional details regarding the accident were provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
