According to the Houston PD, the deadly accident happened at 11400 South Sam Houston Parkway, near Sabo Road.

Houston, TX – The person who was killed in a traffic collision that also injured a 9-year-old boy and several other people has been identified as 44-year-old Francisco Medellin.

According to Houston Police, five vehicles were stopped at a red light at 11400 South Sam Houston Parkway and Sabo Road when an 18-wheeler slammed into the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier, killing Francisco Medellin and injuring a 9-year-old boy.

The big rig kept driving and struck a Lexus RX350, leaving the woman driving it with critical injuries.

The big rig then slammed into a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Ford Crown Victoria, injuring occupants in both vehicles. The 18-wheeler also struck a fifth vehicle before driving away.

The authorities are still searching for the trucker and the 18-wheeler.

Houston, TX – One person is dead and three others, including a 7-year-old child, were injured following a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on South Sam Houston Parkway Friday night.

According to the Houston PD, the deadly collision happened at 11400 South Sam Houston Parkway, near Sabo Road.

Responding officers located four vehicles involved in the collision.

As per the police, an 18-wheeler flatbed truck drove through the location, hitting all four vehicles.

HPD said a man died at the scene. The name of the deceased man was not immediately released.

A woman was hospitalized in critical condition. Another adult was also hospitalized in stable condition and a seven-year-old was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said they are working to locate the 18-wheeler that fled the scene and are asking anyone who sees or may have seen a flatbed truck with a lot of damage around the area to call 911 or Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.

The incident remains under investigation.
