David Eric Polley was arrested and charged with collision involving death in connection with the death of the girl

Dallas, TX. – A 6-year-old girl died after being struck by a car last week Sunday in Dallas.
According to Dallas police, the accident happened on the 5900 block of Belt Line Road at Ladera Drive at around 10:25 p.m.
The child was crossing the street and was hit by a white Acura MDX traveling westbound on Belt Line Road.
Police say the driver of the Acura pulled into an adjacent parking lot before leaving the scene without providing any assistance.
The child was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
Police later identified the vehicle’s owner through their license plate. Police drove to the suspect’s home and spotted a white Acura MDX with front-end damage “consistent with a pedestrian strike” pulling into a driveway.
The suspect, 67-year-old David Eric Polley was arrested and charged with collision involving death in connection with the death of the girl.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
