San Antonio, TX – A Good Samaritan was killed early Thursday morning after stopping to help in a traffic collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Loop 410 in San Antonio’s Northwest Side.

The first incident happened at about 2:15 a.m. on December 26 on Loop 410 near Jackson Vance, according to Castle Hills Police Department.

Castle Hills police said a wrong-way driver, identified as 27-year-old Rudy Orozco, was heading eastbound on the westbound lane of Loop 410 when he struck another vehicle.

According to the police, a person got out of their vehicle to help but was hit by another vehicle operated by 27-year-old Monika Jordan.

The Good Samaritan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wrong-way driver – Orozco – was arrested and charged with DWI.

Jordan was also arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Police Jordan posted a $75,000 bond and was released from jail.
