San Antonio, TX – The man who was hit and killed by a train Thursday evening in San Antonio’s Northeast Side has been identified as Howard Lee Lyons, 59, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly accident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. on November 13 near the intersection of Interchange Parkway and Fratt Road.
Officials said Lyons and his dog were struck by a train on the train tracks.
The train conductor called the authorities and stayed at the scene.
Lyons was pronounced dead at the scene. His injured dog was taken into the custody of Animal Care Services.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
